Welcome to the IST-TRAVEL Wiki! This site is being created as a Community and Service Activity at the International School of Tanganyika, located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We hope that it will be a useful tool for the IST community at large - students, teachers and parents - as you discover the wonders of travel in Tanzania and neighboring countries! Please feel free to add to the site when you find great new places to stay (or places you would not recommend), places to visit and routes to take. Karibu sana!

1. Do NOT anger an elephant.

2. Remember, when you are in the jungle you are in the animal's territory. You must respect that.

3. Take an extra battery for your camera. You never know when you might need it.

4. Do NOT litter in the wild unless you like paying fines and spending time in prison.

5. Do NOT feed the monkeys or keep food in your tent/room.

6. Lastly, respect park rules as they are for your own safety and the safety of other animals and people.
