If you love diving (PADI certified), snorkeling, swimming w/ dolphins, relaxing, kayaking, bon-fires, drumming, archery, and laying in a hammock - then this spot is for you.
You fly in or drive if you are that adventurous, to this northern small town in Mozambique and enjoy. Most everything is provided and Calvin is a terrific dive instructor/master.

Pemba Dive and Bush Camp: http://www.pembadivecamp.com

This family owned camp has reasonable prices - diving is $45.00 each dive, $200 for a package of 5 dives; the corals are healthy and fairly full of colorful fish
They have different levels of accomodation including backpackers bamboo huts (this is where I stayed for 9 nights), bungalows, safari tents,
family size bungalows ...
Meals and drinks are good and reasonably priced - you need to communicate with them about your needs, they are VERY accomodating - or
you can use the backpackers kitchen to do some of your own cooking. The dinners are always family-style w/ plenty of variety - grilling meats is one of their specialties!

It is 3 km down from the main road from the airport; they will drop you at the airport, in front of local transport, any time of day so you can explore around town and shop for supplies. If you are diving you are taken to the seaside each day and can remain for an afternoon of exploration too.

Recommendations: Bring your own snacks, coffee set-up, and BUG SPRAY - you'll need it!!

This is family owned and run and they try hard to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your time there. They DON'T charge for every little convenience and
offer all the extra activities free of charge - great location for a family stay.
